I am not a huge fan of winter. Although I like to hit the slopes once a year, I get my fill of winter about 2 weeks after it begins. One of the places I tend to head to when I just need to escape the Toronto weather is Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls. While Great Wolf Lodge Niagara is constantly updating itself and even added a new slide in 2016, I was incredibly surprised on my last visit to see one huge change: the addition of the Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Grand Wolf Suites. Now you may be wondering how luxury Great Wolf Lodge can really be; read on to find out.
Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Grand Wolf Suites
I like to think I keep up to date on many of the happenings at my favourite hotels but must admit I completely missed the addition of the Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Grand Wolf Suites. While parents have been asking me what the best room category is I have wavered between the Magestic Bear Suite due to its immense size and private master bedroom and the Wolf Den Suite because lets face it my kids would rather sleep in a Wolf Den than enjoy a premium room.
When we first pulled up to the lodge on our last visit, I quickly noticed the addition of some very premium parking. Located right next to the main entrance, it was hard not to wonder who the spots where for. As soon as we hit the waterpark, I also realized that the seating area across from the Grizzly Rob’s Bar, a great spot due to its view of the wave pool, had a reserved seating sign for the Grand Wolf Suites.
I knew I wasn’t staying in one but was curious enough to find out what they were. Luckily, the next morning I realized I was staying directly next to one and got a sneak peek of how cool these rooms really are.
What You Need to Know Before You Book a Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Grand Wolf Suite
Let’s start with the obvious. They are not cheap. These are the most premium rooms you can book at Great Wolf Lodge Niagara and they come with some pretty awesome perks. That being said the rooms average only about $100 more a night than the Majestic Bear Suite so if you are looking for a more luxury setting, they aren’t immensely more than what you would pay for a similar sized suite without the modern decor and additional perks.
Secondly, I can attest these rooms are very nice. What I love about them is that they maintain the Great Wolf Lodge theme and feel in a much more modern and sleek way.
Third the perks are amazing. With each Grand Wolf Suite you are entitled to the following:
- One Preferred VIW (Very Important Wolf) parking pass;
- Early check in of 3 p.m.;
- Late check out of 1 p.m.;
- Reserved seating area in Bear Track Landing Waterpark;
- Master bedroom with a king-size bed and 37-inch flat-screen TV;
- Two queen-size beds in the main area;
- Sectional couch with full-size sofa sleeper and 55-inch flat-screen TV;
- Breakfast bar with seating for six;
- Microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, deluxe toiletries, luxury bedding, security safe;
- Keurig® Brewing System and
- CubieBlue – Bluetooth sound system with USB outlets and charging station
